Booked your first appointment? Here’s what you can look forward to!

Accessibility & Arrival Info

Our building is fully accessible, with multiple designated accessibility parking spots in the front of the building and a ramp leading right to the entrance. Once inside, you can take either the stairs or the elevator up to the second floor.

Head down the hallway, and you’ll find our waiting room in Suite 201. It’s the second door on the left. Your therapist will meet you there in the lobby when it’s time for your session.

Arriving a bit early? No worries! Have a seat and make yourself comfortable. We’ll come get you when we’re ready to begin your assessment.

WHAT TO EXPECT & OUR Policies

Welcome! We're so glad you're here. To help you feel prepared and supported throughout your journey with us, we’ve outlined some key information about what to expect, before, during, and after services, as well as our office policies.

During the Assessment

When you arrive in our office, we’ll invite you to settle in on the couch while we help your child get comfortable with a fun activity to warm up. You’ll be given a welcome packet to complete while we begin to build rapport with your child through play.

Once your child is engaged and at ease, we’ll start the assessment. After the session is complete, we’ll share initial feedback with you and may ask a few follow-up questions to ensure our report is as accurate and thorough as possible.

After the Assessment

Once your child’s assessment is complete, we’ll submit our report to your insurance provider and/or the Regional Center for review. You’ll also receive a follow-up email from us that includes the full report, along with a clear summary of whether your child’s speech and language skills are age-appropriate or show signs of delay.

Typically, you can expect to hear back from your insurance within 2–3 weeks regarding approval or denial of services. As soon as you receive confirmation, give us a call—we’ll be happy to get you scheduled for ongoing therapy sessions!

Already Had an Assessment & Need Services?

If your child has already completed a speech and language assessment elsewhere and you're ready to begin services—welcome! We’d love to help.

Simply send us a copy of the assessment report. Once we review it to ensure it meets our documentation requirements, we’ll guide you through the next steps for insurance or Regional Center authorization (if needed).

After everything is approved, we’ll work with you to schedule ongoing therapy sessions that fit your family's needs!

Our Cancellation Policy

Our Cancellation Policy

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We do our best to be flexible, but to ensure we can serve all our families effectively, we have a few important policies in place:

  • Cancellations with less than 3 hours notice are considered a no-show.

  • Your first no-show is excused. We know unexpected things happen.

  • A second no-show will result in a $30 fee.

  • A third no-show means your recurring spot will be forfeited, and your child will be placed back on our waiting list.

In addition, if there are 6 cancellations within a calendar year, we may also return your child to the waiting list to offer that time to another family in need of consistent services.

Thank you for understanding and helping us maintain reliable care for all our clients!
